Harrisburg Horizon - News |

|
Harrisburg Horizon went into Delaware short-handed and ended up on the short end of the score. The Delaware Destroyers defeated the Horizon 111-107. The Horizon played without starters, Michah Davenport, Radee Skipworth, Demmone Maxwell and Walt Chaves. However, all was not lost as the Horizon found themselves a new sparkplug, as Maurice Allen, 5’ 11” guard from Norristown, pulled on the green and white uniform for the first time and led the team with 23 points, that included three 3-pointers. Kevin Rowe and Eddie Allen each had 18 points in the losing cause. Sherman Brittingham tossed in 38 points for the victorious Destroyers. Ron Fields and Martief Bilal recorded 15 each. Harrisburg got off to a fast start, controlling the boards and rolling up a 32-25 lead after one. However, the Destroyers turned up the outside jets in the 2nd quarter outscoring the Horizon 34 to 21 to take a 59-53 halftime lead. The game was then nip and tuck and tied at 107 with 30 seconds to play. Brittingham then made two foul shots to ice the game. |
